With 220 visitors from the world of fleet and leasing, the first Fleet Event in Houten was a great success. Chris Kimman, director of MivarGroup, captivated the audience with his workshop on the opportunities and threats in the industry.
Chris Kimman, about his workshop: “At present, the automotive industry is rather upside down. The age-old distribution model is under heavy pressure. New European and even global players are shaking up the parts market considerably. Car owners, including the private individual and certainly also the fleet owner, will provide parts themselves or will negotiate terms directly with parts suppliers. The possession of the car is becoming less important. In place of ownership, the need is more and more given to flexible use. This brings new players into the market who see opportunities to attract the driver. To remain competitive, as a fleet owner the correct calculation of costs and then to pass it on is more important than ever. The ROB costs are an important factor here.”
